There was a time when the ends of the Earth were the frontiers of Knowledge.
Few men, fearless and brave, dared to cross their borders, defying fears of the unknown and the forces of nature. Adventurers, conquerors, brave pioneers undertook long journeys in search of new lands to explore. Richer and most fertile soils, a Promised Land to build a better future.
CONQUERA is the new Nonogiorno challenge with plexiglas: a highly imaginative chair/plant holder, in which the distinctive features of the Nonogiorno style are expressed to the full. An army of suspended pots, ready to embrace the green revolution, chooses the most exclusive of battlefields: a 20mm thick sheet of methacrylate, in the special three-colour finish, skilfully folded by hand and resting on ethereal blocks of turned plexiglas.
Swaying between a design object and a work of art, Conquera is the manifesto of Atelier 9g’s philosophy and production. Here, the tactile experience and the emotional factor combine masterfully with an essential, clean, futuristic stylistic form, where natural elements and artificial materials co-exist in perfect harmony. Conquera is the Promised Land, the Eldorado of our times, the battle cry of those fighting to conquer a new dimension in which Man and Nature can interact.
